David Liso Spaceman reels an electronic period Xymox vibe with tints of Download and a Front 242 shred midway into the track. Suggestive, danceable and mystical, a must!

about

Spaceman germinated in the sad heavy muck of the horrific Pandemic, yet dreamt of rising above all the loss, challenges and fear. We didn't want to add to the saturated melancholy and weight of life today with a "Covid" song, but rather offer a sonic flash of hope, as in the lines " this is agent five, come back to being alive", yet acknowledging the intense inner work of the next line "but I'm working over time, in a house on fire" The house is our home during the Pandemic with our 17 year old, as well as a reference to the Buddhist story of ignorance being like children playing in a house that's on fire. "I got good news, I got bad news". Much Luv!

lyrics

Spaceman

This is agent 5
Come back to being alive
Yeah I’m working overtime
In a house on fire
I work with the wicked
I walked the wire
I followed the light
But I did not follow the fire
(spaceman)
I got good news
I got bad news
(spaceman)
I got good news
I got bad news
(spaceman)

I know there’s joy out there
But somebody got my share
So teach me a lesson
Come poke me in a dream
I wanna scream
I wanna scream
Says the left hand
To the right hand
I wanna scream
I wanna scream

It’ll wake me up
It’ll wake me up so hard
It’ll wake me up
It’ll wake me till I see stars

Going down with words
I Never said out loud
Shittin’ bricks
With flowers in my mouth

Troposphere
Stratosphere
Mesosphere
Thermosphere
Exosphere
Outta here outta here

Take me to the river
Wash me in the water
Wash my sins away
Take me to the river
Wash me in the water
Make the make believe go away
Cuz it will wake me up
It’ll wake me up so hard

it’ll wake me up
It’ll wake me up so hard
